Please note: This is an onsite position at Central Vermont Medical Center located in Berlin, VT. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM

Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inventory Specialist to support the efficient flow of supplies throughout our healthcare organization. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, tracking, storing, distributing, and replenishing inventory that supports patient care and hospital operations.

Working closely with Supply Chain team members, buyers, and internal customers, you will help ensure critical supplies are available when and where they are needed while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy, quality, and completeness.

  • Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records within the inventory management system.

  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to ensure adequate supply availability.

  • Pick, pack, and distribute inventory orders to hospital departments and clinical units.

  • Restock supply locations and maintain organized inventory storage areas.

  • Coordinate product returns, replacements, and damaged goods with Supply Chain team members and vendors.

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Rotate inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices and monitor expiration dates.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment.

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and loading dock equipment.

  • Provide excellent customer service when supporting internal departments and responding to inquiries.

  • Train and support new team members on warehouse operations and inventory processes.

  • Follow all hospital safety protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Follows established safety procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrates proper lifting techniques and safe equipment operation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to lift and move materials and work in a physically active warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or supply chain experience.

  • Experience using an inventory management system.

  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dock lifts.
