Job Description

Schedule: Rotating schedule between 6:30AM - 3PM or 7:30AM - 4PM, Mon - Fri

The Inventory Associate performs duties associated with receiving, unpacking and accurately stocking merchandise and may also assist with duties related to reviewing inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving merchandise and ensuring it matches the order

  • Stocks merchandise in appropriate location

  • Reviews stock for expired medications, as needed

  • Handling returns

  • Other duties as assigned that ensure an accurate inventory of product

Education

  • High School degree or equivalent

Experience

  • Preferred: One year of inventory experience in a similar role

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Basic PC skills and ability to navigate basic computer programs

  • Ability to accurately count items in numerical sequence

  • Must have a patient-centered focus

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team members and leaders

  • Reliable

Physicals/Mental Demands

  • This role will often spend a majority of their day on their feet.

  • He/she must be able to identify and categorize information/drugs.

  • Must be able to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Must be able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers. Must be able to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to rules/procedures.

  • Must have excellent reading and oral instruction comprehension and judgment.

  • Regularly lifts office and clinical supplies weighing up to five pounds; occasionally lifts or carries up to thirty pounds.

  • May occasionally push/pull when unpacking supplies.

  • Climbs step stool to access supply or filing shelves.

  • Bends when unpacking supplies, filing or retrieving charts and files. May reach or twist to handle supplies/files.

Must be able to hear, speak and read English to communicate with staff and customers, and must be able to see to perform office and pharmacy functions.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
