The Inventory & Production Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, including tracking materials in the ERP system, performing cycle counts, and ensuring proper storage and traceability. This role also supports daily warehouse and production operations to ensure materials are available when needed. A key part of the job is hands-on work on the shop floor, cutting and preparing raw materials (such as bar stock) using a saw machine to meet production requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare raw materials (bar stock) to required specifications using a saw

• Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders

• Maintain accurate inventory in the ERP system

• Perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies

• Store and organize materials using proper labeling and tracking methods

• Ensure lot traceability of materials throughout production

• Prepare travelers and production documentation

• Pick and release materials to the shop floor

• Perform basic material inspections and handle nonconforming items

• Operate a forklift to unload and move materials

• Support shipping, receiving, and overall warehouse operations

• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve material or inventory issues

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow 5S practices

• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in inventory and manufacturing environment

• Experience working in a machine shop preferred

• Ability to operate saw machines and cut raw materials

• Skilled in using measuring tools (calipers, tape measure)

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)

• Forklift experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organization skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
