What You Will Do:
As the Inventory and Planning Manager, you will oversee the inventory strategy, material planning, forecasting, and operational inventory control for Pratt & Whitney Component Solutions. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory investment, improving parts availability, managing repair and teardown planning, and supporting sales and customer delivery performance.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday, based in Muskegon Michigan, and performed exclusively on-site. Occasional travel will be required to support the business as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to the PWCS inventory and planning team; demonstrates overall value stream collaboration across new and used planning for aftermarket spare parts.
Trains, supports, and directs employees to achieve departmental and company goals.
Develops standard work and defines daily, weekly and monthly objectives for team.
Holds regular employee one-on-one and inventory team meetings.
Encourages cross functional/departmental/Business Unit communication and cooperation.
Provides daily, weekly and monthly inventory KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) reporting to management and establishes processes to drive KPI improvements.
Forecasts overall inventory for used parts trading utilizing information from team members and forecasting models.
Identifies risk to the plan and works with team to mitigate through reduce spend or increased sales offering.
Develops inventory plan to ensure investments, inventory turns and service level key process indicators are achieved.
Promotes alignment of processes across business units when possible and supports the implementation of standard work.
Supports EIS (Entry Into Service) activities and product improvement initiatives to the aftermarket with Programs, Supply Chain, and Front-Line Support.
Approves purchase orders for inventory requests and customer repair and exchange cores.
Models collaboration with all the teams under the Material Management segment (Supplier Management, IMF, RTS, Pit Stop teams) and the supporting functions.
Collaborates with Supplier Management and lead the Reduce-to-Spares team for the procurement of material to fulfill inventory plan, ensuring inventory levels meet forecasted requirements.
Manages nonconforming inventory to quality management system requirements and ensures that all inventory has the proper documentation and pedigree to support the aftermarket.
Aligns processes to optimize use of existing IT platforms (SAP, etc.); also suggests process improvements to become more efficient and effective as an organization.
Assists the inventory planners and supporting team with transactions in SAP.
Supports Environmental Health & Safety goals and mitigates workplace risks while reinforcing strong controls environment with no adverse audits, maintaining AS9120 and AC0056 accreditations.
Employ continuous improvement tools and CORE elements.
Build strong relationships and robust business process with critical Repair Supplier(s)
Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers to enable efficient two-way communication, and ensure key performance indicators (rates, TAT, delivery, volume, capacity, quality, etc) are met
Lead critical topics (senior escalation), identify strategic risks, and escalate within the organization
Lead negotiations in partnership with the Strategic Sourcing team
Manage and resolve issues impacting the flow of parts
Collaborate with different organizations (Aftermarket, MRO engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, etc) to drive actions to closure and meet the organization’s objectives
Qualifications You Must Have:
a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 8 years of experience in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning, Inventory Management, or Operations in an aftermarket spare parts business, OR an Advanced Degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
2+ years of prior inventory and planning management experience leading small-medium sized teams
Degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA preferred
Expert knowledge of parts configuration preferred
Prior experience or familiarity with engine operation, assembly and overhaul methods

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
