Unisync is a leading provider of award winning North American Corporate Apparel, and Public Safety, Law Enforcement Uniform, Equipment supplies and protective garments across Canada and the United States. Our customer base includes Air Canada, WestJet, Canadian Coast Guard, Purolator, Petro Canada, Home Hardware, Alaska Airlines and a broad base of government entities such as the Federal Government of Canada.
The Inventory Planner’s responsibility is to process purchasing orders and maintain inventories of garments and control of inventory stock levels to ensure the right products are in stock at the right time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create and distribute POs and BPOs (Value add Service Production Orders) approval requests
• Develop forecasts of future demand and inventory requirements by measuring sales trends, calculate lead time demand, calculate safety stocks and set reorder points
• Monitor contractual inventory minimum and maximums levels (safety stocks) of merchandise is available to meet customer needs
• Process re-order reports and execute inventory strategies to fill account requirements
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including sales, program managers, customer service, purchasing and production to ensure inventory targets are met
• Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations to improve inventory processes
• Reduce exposure to excess and obsolete inventory by observing strict planning guidelines
• Proactively alert production and purchasing team on possible demand and inventory issues
• Monitor the accuracy of cost sheets and correct any discrepancies
• Other duties as assigned
Experience and Education:
• College/associate’s degree in supply chain or business administration
• Experience in supply chain and logistics
• Experience in ERP and warehouse management systems
• Minimum 6 months’ experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management
• Knowledge of garment construction and fabric materials properties

• Data analysis skills to interpret inventory data

• Sitting for 5 to 8 hours
