Working under the supervision of the Production and Inventory Manager, the Inventory Planner is responsible for the tactical planning to support the Demand Flow production process, Kanban management, monitor inventory levels to objectives, reconcile any parts shortages, timely disposition of rejected material, significant interaction with Operations, review MRP and place orders with assigned vendors. Must be willing to cross-train in various areas of the department as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Work within ISO 9002 and Sarbanes Oxley guidelines
• Become an active participant and contributor to the continuous improvements process at Knoll
• Work in team environment to coordinate materials, textiles, production groups to meet customer requirements
• Communicate delivery issues with Production Managers
• Resolve quality issues and handle disposition of non-conforming products
• Support lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
• Follow all shop floor controls
• Follow all MillerKnoll safety policies and protocols
• Maintain a clean, safe, working environment according to 5s principles and department safety guidelines
• Maintain and follow the ISO standard operating procedures
• Participate in and contribute to the continuous improvement process
*Additional responsibilities as requested by Management to achieve business objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
• Post Secondary education in Business, Supply chain, Logistics OR, associate degree with 4-7 years of progressive, related experience
• 2 – 5 years of experience in similar position.
• Experience with Manufacturing Production Processes and Procedure i.e. Work Order
• Experience with Data Entry with accuracy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Working knowledge of lead times for manufacturing and procurement.
• Working knowledge of MRP and JUST-IN-TIME concepts
• Working knowledge of inventory management programs
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to communicate professionally both verbally and through written correspondence
• Must be able to multitask
• Advanced applications of Microsoft Excel (required) and Microsoft Access (preferred)
• Advanced Application with an Enterprise business system (JDE preferred)
• Strong English skills (verbal and written) and communication in a clear manner

Compensation range for this role is $60,000.00 - $74,100.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors.
