As Analytics Specialist at Colgate-Palmolive, the core purpose is to foster a culture of continuous analytical improvement across the entire Supply Tower.
You will specialize in inventory budgeting & inventory health management, be responsible for generating data-driven safety strategy recommendations through Single-Echelon Inventory Optimization (SEIO), support our planning tower with leadership in ensuring master data governance and integrity, and develop standardized reports for SC Sync. This role requires a deep understanding of inventory theory and a strong understanding of core planning master data and how it drives advanced planning systems. By designing an inventory strategy and ensuring our planning parameters are accurately designed to execute against it, you will ensure we deliver optimal inventory levels that balance service and cost, supporting overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports automation and standardization
  • Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies using advanced techniques to enhance supply chain efficiencies
  • Analyze inventory data to generate actionable insights for improving inventory health and achieving budget targets
  • Lead efforts to establish and maintain robust master data governance to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement planning solutions and enhance data management processes
  • Design planning parameters to align with strategic objectives and market changes
  • Provide leadership and guidance on best practices and continuous improvement
  • Co-create, manage, and monitor inventory budget to ensure alignment with financial goals and constraints
  • Develop and maintain metrics and dashboards to track inventory budgeting performance and efficiencies
  • Proactively oversee warehouse utilization network wide, and communicate with logistics to manage upcoming events / activities that will result in inventory fluctuations
  • Conduct periodic reviews of inventory strategies to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.
  • Identify gaps and misses in the inventory planning process and analyze data to determine possible causal factors
  • Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures surrounding planning master data
  • Routinely evaluate data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across systems and platforms
  • Implement data quality improvement initiatives and audits to sustain high standards of data governance
  • Identify and resolve data governance issues and work proactively to prevent data quality problems

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in demand, supply, or production planning, logistics, or a related analytical role
  • Proficiency in working with large data sets and data visualizations
  • Advanced English


Expected Areas of Skills:

Cross-functional data visualization, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on inventory management
Proficiency with analytical tools and software, such as Google Suite, Sigma, Domo, or similar platforms
Proficiency in Single-Echelon Inventory Optimization (SEIO) and other inventory planning methodologies
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and train others on demand planning tools and processes.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to process improvement and data accuracy
Demonstrated understanding and experience in master data governance practices

Working Relationships:
Sits within the Planning Tower, reports to E2E Planning Lead and routinely interacts with Supply Chain Sync Planner
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain sync planners
Engage with stakeholders across the organization to support inventory management and master data governance

Travel Requirements:
Up to 10% travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a standard office environment and occasionally visit the plant floor and warehouse areas.
