This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

Our client is a fast-growing consumer brand focused on improving operational efficiency, inventory health, and cost management across its supply chain. Operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, they are looking to bring clarity, control, and accountability to inventory, logistics, and fulfillment processes while supporting continued business growth.

Location

Fully remote | 9 AM - 5 PM EST

The Inventory & Operations Manager will take full ownership of inventory planning, purchasing, logistics, and fulfillment operations. This is a highly hands-on role focused on bringing structure to fragmented systems, improving inventory accuracy, reducing costs, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, comfortable working with imperfect data, and capable of making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Control

  • Own inventory planning across Extensiv, WMS, and spreadsheets

  • Build and manage purchase orders and inbound timelines

  • Continuously audit and adjust min/max inventory levels

  • Reconcile data across systems to create clear, actionable insights

  • Identify and eliminate excess and aging inventory

3PL & Fulfillment Management

  • Own day-to-day relationships with 3PL partners

  • Monitor and improve order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and inventory accuracy

  • Identify and resolve fulfillment issues quickly

  • Ensure smooth inbound receiving and outbound order flow

  • Drive accountability and performance improvements with 3PL partners

Cost & Vendor Management

  • Lead cost reduction initiatives across freight, logistics, and vendors

  • Negotiate with carriers, 3PLs, and suppliers

  • Challenge cost increases and identify more efficient solutions

Operational Visibility & Process Improvement

  • Create visibility across inventory, in-transit goods, and purchasing

  • Reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and poor purchasing decisions

  • Drive SKU rationalization to simplify operations

  • Build simple, scalable reporting to support decision-making

Collaboration & Decision Support

  • Work closely with the COO and CEO in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Challenge assumptions and provide data-backed recommendations

  • Escalate critical decisions while maintaining ownership of day-to-day execution

  • Contribute to balancing trade-offs across cash flow, inventory, and availability

Qualifications

Experience

  • Experience managing inventory, purchasing, logistics, and fulfillment operations

  • Experience working with 3PL partners and warehouse management systems

  • Experience operating in fast-paced environments with imperfect or fragmented data

  • Experience driving cost reduction and operational improvements

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and operational analysis

  • Ability to manage and interpret data across multiple systems, including Extensiv and WMS platforms

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues early and take ownership of solutions

  • Ability to operate with directional accuracy without relying on perfect data

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge decisions constructively

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes

  • Resilience and composure under pressure

What Success Looks Like

  • Improved control over inventory decisions with reduced reactivity

  • Well-managed and validated min/max inventory levels

  • Reduction in stockouts, excess inventory, and aged inventory

  • Improved 3PL performance, including accuracy, speed, and communication

  • Lower inbound and outbound shipping costs

  • Increased visibility across inventory, purchasing, and logistics operations
