The Inventory Manager is responsible for developing and leading a scalable inventory management system that ensures material accuracy, optimized inventory placement, and timely fulfillment across all operational locations. This role plays a critical part in reducing excess purchasing, supporting accurate tracking, and aligning material availability with project timelines. Working closely with procurement, fleet, and field teams, the manager oversees cross-regional logistics, conducts ongoing inventory analysis, and drives process improvements to support a seamless supply chain. Through strategic coordination and data-driven insights, this position supports the company’s operational goals and efficiency across the horticulture sector.

  • Lead efforts in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees. Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Effectively manage employee performance by clearly communicating expectations, providing regular and constructive feedback, and addressing both positive contributions and areas for improvement. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous growth.

  • Coordinate plant material deliveries and inventory distribution across regions to ensure timely and efficient fulfillment, leveraging internal and external logistics resources to support operational needs.
  • Design, implement, and lead a scalable company-wide inventory management system, including oversight of inventory locations, stock accuracy, and lifecycle planning.
  • Establish and manage inventory control procedures and documentation standards to support transparency, compliance, and financial accuracy.
  • Analyze material usage patterns and procurement trends to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and drive cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Support short-term planning processes, such as the “2-Week Look Ahead,” to ensure availability of materials aligned with field operations and project timelines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding inventory coordination, stock availability, and reallocation of materials across locations.
  • Partner with the Horticulture Procurement Team and operational leaders to align procurement strategy with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with Fleet and Logistics leadership to coordinate transportation scheduling, long-haul processes, and ensure fleet vehicles used for procurement logistics are operationally ready and compliant.
  • Provide ongoing reporting and insights into inventory turnover, material availability, and procurement logistics performance to support strategic decision-making.
  • Follow, promote, and enforce all labor laws, safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained. Assist with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related industry preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information across teams and stakeholders.
  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in computer and technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and mobile devices. Experience with procurement or ERP systems, such as Acumatica, preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to various locations across the company.
  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license (or equivalent) and meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) verification requirements.
