Job Description
Oversee all stock control activities, including delivery notices, receipt of goods, and incoming inventory verification.
Monitor, control, and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure product availability across retail locations.
Establish, implement, and maintain effective stock control and stocktaking procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies and procedures in line with company standards and retail best practices.
Ensure stock takes are completed accurately and on schedule by the Stock Controller, with variances investigated and resolved
Conduct performance reviews in accordance with company policies and support ongoing training and development.
Requirements
Degree in Business (Accounting or Finance would be preferable) from a recognized institution or extensive experience in Stock Control/Inventory Analysis for in excess of 10 years
At least 10 years of stock controlling / inventory analysis experience in large retail and wholesale organizations
Excellent computing skills in Microsoft Office / Pronto applications.
Knowledge of warehouse management, stock control, including transfers, receiving, shipping and purchasing.
Knowledge of budgeting and costing of retail and wholesale goods
Background in large retail and wholesale operations.
A proactive approach to improving systems, controls, and reporting processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with proven ability to work to deadlines.
