Job Summary

Inventory Management Specialist

Wurth USA | Field-Based Position

Wurth USA is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to support our customers by ensuring their Wurth inventory is organized, properly stocked, and readily available when they need it. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this field-based role works directly at customer locations and partners closely with our Sales team to maintain efficient inventory distribution points.

What You’ll Do

  • Visit assigned customers according to a predetermined route and schedule.
  • Maintain and organize Wurth inventory distribution points at customer locations, including ORSY systems, wheel weight displays, vending machines, cabinets, and other inventory solutions.
  • Stock available customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Create order proposals during each customer visit for customer review and approval.
  • Ensure customers are appropriately stocked without creating excess or unnecessary inventory.
  • Maintain proper labeling, organization, and presentation of inventory during each visit.
  • Clean and maintain inventory areas to ensure they remain safe, organized, and easy to use.
  • Properly dispose of waste and packing materials.
  • Promptly return unwanted or unused materials as requested by customers.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers and Wurth Sales team members.
  • Work closely with Territory Sales Representatives, District Sales Managers, and Regional Sales Directors to support customer needs.
  • Follow established procedures and adapt to evolving processes and customer requirements.

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes, systems, and technology.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal team members.
  • Willingness to learn Wurth products and inventory management processes on the job.
  • Ability and willingness to learn iPad-based SpeedyRouting and other technology used in the role.

Training:

Wurth USA will provide training to help you succeed in the role, including:

  • Wurth product training
  • Inventory management and process training
  • iPad-based SpeedyRouting system training
  • Safe lifting training

Work Environment

This is a field-based position. You will travel along a predetermined route and work primarily at customer locations in automotive and shop environments. The role involves regular physical activity, including standing, walking, organizing inventory, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
