JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing daily inventory operations to ensure accurate inventory counts, proper stock levels, and efficient material flow throughout the warehouse. This role leads inventory control activities, coordinates cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, and supports operational excellence by maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

Schedule: 3:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Pay rate: $23

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate daily inventory control activities within the warehouse.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to ensure accuracy of receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
  • Perform and oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root causes, and system variances.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) and other inventory tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with operations, shipping, receiving, and customer service teams to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability.
  • Train and support team members on inventory processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor inventory locations and optimize storage utilization to improve efficiency.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of inventory control, warehouse, or logistics experience. Previous lead, coordinator, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory tracking software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic to intermediate mathematical skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents, reports, and operational procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other inventory reporting tools preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners (if certified and required). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Logistics, distribution, or supply chain experience. Experience leading inventory audits and cycle count programs. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification. Lean, Continuous Improvement, or inventory management certification is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
