Job Description

Attention current Bachelor’s students who love tackling new challenges. Clean Harbors is looking for a Inventory Coordination Intern to sit in our Deer Park, TX office The Inventory Coordination Intern is responsible for supervising and coordinating a perpetual inventory record of material, supplies, and other general stock items; does related warehouse duties, as described. Responsible for financial accountability of multiple shop inventories within their assigned regions.

  • Supervises and coordinates the appropriate processing of purchase requisitions, receiving, reports, inventory requisitions applicable to items maintained, and item cost analysis. Carry out shipping and receiving duties in accordance with policy.
  • Implements our Inventory Management System and becomes the expert with regard to inventory management. Will use other computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, and database software in performance of assigned work.
  • Pursue preferred supplier agreements and contracts. Correspond with vendors concerning pricing, merchandise ordered, merchandise returned, cores, and warranty
  • Layout warehouse in a productive, logical manner and maintain it in the same manner. Ensure layout is recorded in FAM.
  • Works with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance personnel to ensure that critical stock items and maintenance supplies are maintained within acceptable stocking levels. Manage dead stock and return to vendor as applicable.
  • Publish policies and procedures according to the guidelines set forth by management. Manage inventory KPIs to goals and objectives.
  • Manage repair orders and requests for parts in a timely manner which means every item request is logged in and / or reviewed on a daily basis.
  • Supervises and coordinates the taking of periodic physical inventories; prepares reports of inventory balance, shortages, and other financial data as required.
  • Ensure the purchase of materials, tooling, and services are performed as required and consistent with policies and appropriate approval levels.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current student
  • Superior communication skills, attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to financially account for movement of materials within the maintenance region.
  • Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Products.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill
