This position is focused on improving the material flow of raw materials, components, work in process, and finished parts in receiving, manufacturing, and shipping in order to enable machine operators and shippers to have the products they need to do their jobs.

Inventory coordinators make sure operators have all the products, materials, equipment and supplies they need to operate efficiently in ways that are aligned to established policies and standards. They also oversee inventory management processes and resolve any issues that arise.

Identify and remove detractors to flow for specific areas of a facility. Ensure that the set of discrete jobs in that area are executable.

We are looking for an inventory coordinator who is detail-oriented, exceptionally organized, able to manage complex systems, and who has excellent communication, math and analytical skills, and relevant computer software know-how. Inventory coordinators can expect to work with associated documentation, complete tasks alone and in teams, manage multiple inventories, and report to and advise company management.
Successful inventory coordinators should have experience in inventory control, excellent time-management skills, and knowledge in organizational techniques. Ideal candidates will also be able to work extended hours if needed, and have experience in building strong working relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Identify discrete jobs that are incapable of processing, determine root cause, and take action to address.
  • Liaison between manufacturing and production and inventory control.
  • Identify and correct any inventory accuracies.
  • Audit transaction processes (job sign-off, sub inventory transfers, etc.) to ensure physical product matches ERP system.
  • Identify any bill of materials (BOM), route issues, and liaison between interdisciplinary teams.
  • Execute continuous improvement projects related to improving product flow.
  • Identifying, analyzing and addressing gaps in inventory processes.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings, and completing assignments.
  • Ability to work and interact well with others.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent qualifying experience.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with others both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate applications and software.
  • Analytical mindset - ability and curiosity to solve problems.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Self- motivated, ability to work independently or as part of different team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Oracle or other ERP.
  • Basic level of Excel.

SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting, upstairs, downstairs, factory floor.
  • Overtime as needed.
