Inventory Coordinator

of the role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking an Inventory Coordinator, for an existing opportunity within our organization. The position is responsible for the daily inventory operations, monitoring warehouse inventory levels and daily cycle processes and reconciliation. You will report to the Warehouse Manager.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels through daily cycle count reconciliation

  • Responsible for short code/problem inventory, rework, credits, adjustments, disposals and fresh return to stock. Report this information as required

  • Utilization of daily production and warehouse information to track warehouse capacity daily, analyze inventory trends and initiate the appropriate action

  • Responsible for month end inventory

  • Responsible with inventory analysis, period end/cycle counting, fill rates and accuracy

  • Maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS), providing updates and communication as required

  • Ensures consistent communication and information flow between shifts

  • Responsible to ensure that all the transactions/credits/ INT/ship-confirmation/returns etc. are accurate and completed daily

  • Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the warehouse

  • Responsible to keep up to date all new and discontinued products and Warehouse Management System locations and sequences in Maestro

  • Consistently improving on processes to manage the day to day activities in a more efficient manner

  • Follow proper procedures for quality product control and ensure it is maintained

  • Know location audits and the complete root cause analysis

  • Route and pick/receiving audits and reporting

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Inventory experience preferably within a food, beverage or consumer packaged goods environment

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (inventory, supply chain, materials management or business administration) is preferred

  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft word, excel, AS/400, (WMS)Warehouse management system and RF systems. Microsoft access is an asset

  • Strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skill are a prerequisite.

  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to get tasks completed in a timely manner

  • Manage projects within deadlines

Salary: $55,430 - $72,730

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
