INVENTORY CONTROLLER M/F Contract Type FIXED TERM CONTRACT Job Location Africa, Kenya, NAIROBI Working Hours Full time Mission Description The Inventory Controller is responsible for monitoring coffee movements from receipt, storage, internal transfers, processing and re-bagging through to dispatch, while maintaining traceability by client, lot, grade, marks, warrant/status, bag count and weight.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate inventory records for all coffee held in the warehouse.
  2. Verify that physical stock locations correspond with system-recorded locations.
  3. Monitor all stock movements between warehouse locations including independently verifying coffee issued from warehouse stock to processing.
  4. Investigate differences between physical stock and system balances and follow up on unresolved discrepancies until closure.
  5. Ensure coffee is not moved, processed or dispatched without appropriate authorization and documentation.
  6. Reconcile coffee returned from processing against the original quantity issued.
  7. Coordinate daily, weekly and monthly stock reconciliations.
  8. Prepare formal variance reports.
  9. Clearly identify coffee subject to restrictions, holds or pending warrant cancellations.
  10. Ensure inventory transactions have sufficient supporting documentation
  11. Ensure inventory controls support full product traceability.
  12. Immediately escalate suspected stock tampering unauthorized movement, contamination or loss.
  13. Ensure system stock is updated accurately and promptly after dispatch Profile • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or stock management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation and stock-control procedures.
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with ERP/WMS or other inventory management systems.
  • Previous experience in coffee, tea, grain or other agricultural commodity warehousing.
  • Experience with high-volume/bulk inventory.
  • Knowledge of coffee processing and export operations.
  • Experience supporting internal/external audits
