Orgill Rome Distribution Center is seeking a Inventory Control Technician to join our team! We are hiring in Inventory Control-- Full-Time Position -2nd Shift-$19.75 plus $1.50 shift differential

Days and Hours of Work 5 day work week

INVENTORY CONTROL – Primarily responsible for auditing daily inventory reports. Perform order and truck audits to ensure accuracy.
Develop customer relations. Identify problems through root cause analysis that impact inventory.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit any of the daily inventory reports; transits, lost sales, back stock audits, deleted locations, receipt exceptions, and out of stock.
  • Prepare defective merchandise for disposition which includes contacting vendors.
  • Preparing shipments for return to vendors.
  • Communicate with vendors and buyers, customers and customer service when a problem exists with merchandise.
  • Preparations manifest for salvage and schedules pick up.
  • Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must
  • Adheres to DC housekeeping guidelines
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma preferred
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety policies and practices.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and ability to create charts
  • Good math and reading skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management
  • Attention to detail essential and demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain records accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and to meet deadlines
  • Must be a team player with a can do attitude
  • Power Equipment certification a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
