Inventory Control Specialist (Judicial)
Within the Superior Court, to be responsible for the planning, oversight and maintenance of a comprehensive inventory control program for the storage of criminal and civil case materials; to keep a computerized inventory of all such case materials in accordance with the Judiciary’s Records Retention Schedule; serve as the liaison to the Judicial Records Center for all Superior Court files and archived records. Works under the general supervision of a superior with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative; will also assist with general day to day operational issues to include the physical relocation of personnel in all county locations, delivery and moving of office/courtroom furniture and equipment and all other related duties as may be assigned by the Court Administrator or his/her designee.
Graduation from an accredited high school supplemented by college course work; associate degree and/or bachelor’s degree preferred; knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to perform with minimal supervision; or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
The successful candidate must be physically able to perform essential duties including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Also, be advised that a new provision in RI General Law 35-6-1 was enacted requiring direct deposit for all employees. Specific to new hires, the law requires that all employees hired after September 30, 2014 participate in direct deposit. Accordingly, any employee hired after this date will be required to participate in the direct deposit system. At the time the employee is hired, the employee shall identify a financial institution that will serve as a personal depository agency for the employee.
