Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist I controls the inflow and outflow of the material inventory, performing both physical and system transactions to ensure optimal inventory availability and integrity.
Reporting Relationships
The Inventory Control Specialist I reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow process documentation to control the inflow and outflow of material inventory. Utilize ERP system to keep physical inventory factors aligned with system inventory data.
- Perform stocking, organizing and storage/put-away activities to ensure inventory is available and ready for use.
- Complete inventory counts per a defined schedule and supplies inventory adjustment feedback to the Warehouse Manager based on results of inventory counts.
- Assist in investigation of found inventory discrepancies and shortages to determine root cause and execute corrective action process.
- Assist Warehouse Manager in maintenance of inventory control metrics.
- Work with buyers and requisitioners to resolve delivery discrepancies, quality issues and returns.
- Demonstrate flexibility of schedule when pursuing training opportunities to achieve personal and company objectives.
- Understands and adheres to all safety requirements. Communicates identified risks to leadership and assists in resolution.
- Completes all 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) standards to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Contributes to culture through alignment with company values and code of conduct. Maintains a positive attitude, displays enthusiasm for assigned tasks, and communicates effectively and professionally with team members.

Education
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Skills and

Qualifications
- Procurement, Inventory Control or Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Understanding of inventory control methods and techniques preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools, primarily Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
- Obtaining forklift certification is required. Tosoh will supply training.
- Basic analytical and mathematical skills required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Frequent bending and twisting required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as defined by process.
