Monday-Friday (weekends/overtime as needed)
Starting Range $18.00 - $25.00
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring finished goods, raw materials, packaging, and supply inventory levels are accurate and properly reflected within company systems for reporting across all business units.  This position supports continuous improvement by identifying waste, inefficiencies, and errors.

Summary of Job Duties
- Ensure accurate material inventory levels across the organization; monitoring inventory for short shelf life, obsolescence, and compliance with FIFO standards.
- Report inventory activity, variances, and damaged materials and communicate inventory data and updates.
- Direct and perform cycle counts on a rotating basis; investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
- Establish and execute cycle count schedules aligned with operational objectives, maintain accurate cycle count documentation and provide reports for review.
- Ensure compliance with labeling, palletization, delivery, and quality standards.
- Support improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies in production, receiving, and shipping processes.
- Assist in researching and completing Corrective and Preventative Action Plans.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.

Work Environment
This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments. Work performed in an office setting with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Exposure to manufacturing and warehouse settings, which includes environment that is non-climate controlled and moderate to loud noise levels that require associates to wear hearing protection. Fast-paced team environment with interruptions and ongoing problem solving.
Physical Demands
Regular use of office equipment. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, grasping and repetitive motion. Occasional climbing, stooping, & crouching. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Ability to use small hand and power tools. Ability to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

QualificationsRequired Skills
- Understanding of inventory management principles, including cycle counting and root cause analysis.
- Ability to verify discrepancies through recounts and investigation of missing inventory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical, mathematical, and data entry skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in reading, writing and understanding English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Baan or Epicor preferred).
- Forklift operation experience preferred.
Work Authorization/ Security Clearance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
