Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist - Warehouse – National DCP

Location: Lockport, Illinois

Job Type: Full-time | Shift: Day, Sunday through Thursday 7 am to 3:30 pm

Starting hourly rate per hour: $25.00 to $27.00

Training schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (start date and for the duration of approximately 4-6 weeks)

Join National DCP, LLC (NDCP) as an Inventory Control Specialist, Warehouse, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our fast-paced distribution operations for Dunkin’ restaurants.

The primary function of this position is to perform cycle counts within all areas of the warehouse as well as compile and report all findings to the management team. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Ensure transactions in the system are accurately and timely executed. Ensure Inventory Adjustments are documented, accurately, and timely posted. Collaborate with Operational Teams to ensure compliance and best practice procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Perform daily cycle count activities in accordance with NDCP procedures.
  • Identify and properly correct inventory discrepancies at the location level as needed, including count, location, hidden damages, etc.
  • Prepare reports using Manhattan, SAP, and Excel, and present findings to Management.
  • Work with key personnel to identify and effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item-level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
  • Check in daily returns, RAR’s, damages, and overages.
  • Verify the code-dated product is rotated properly.
  • Provide as needed troubleshooting, analysis, and recommendations on inventory systems hardware (RF scanners, mobile hand-held computer/scanners, vehicle-mounted data terminals).
  • Move pallets with forklift or powered jacks.
  • Participate on project teams as needed.
  • Supervision Exercised

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in an inventory/materials role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management and ERP Systems, Manhattan TLM/WM SAP preferred.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Basic leadership skills with the willingness to learn, improve, and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Experienced in using an RF gun preferred.
  • Other Requirements

    • Flexible to work weekends to support operations or projects.

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to sit for extended periods.
    • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods.
    • Ability to walk, lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) pounds
    • Ability to work within a Distribution Center with a variety of temperatures, including Freezer and cooler environments.
