Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control & Receiving Specialist to support inventory accuracy and receiving operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, completing ERP transactions, resolving inventory discrepancies, managing goods receipt processes, and safely operating a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate thrives on problem-solving, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working within an ERP system, preferably SAP.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counting

  • Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Investigate, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Process inventory adjustments in SAP and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Identify root causes of count variances and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

ERP / SAP Transactions

  • Accurately enter inventory transactions into SAP in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and resolve COGI (SAP error report) issues to ensure proper transaction posting.
  • Maintain data integrity and support continuous improvement of inventory control processes.

Receiving Operations

  • Verify packing slips against actual goods received.
  • Validate received materials against purchase orders.
  • Manage receiving transactions for operational and technical team expenses, including services such as cleaning, rent, and other facility-related purchases.
  • Process all goods receipts in SAP accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve receiving discrepancies.

Material Handling & Forklift Operation

  • Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, and count materials.
  • Load and unload materials in support of receiving, inventory counts, and inventory adjustments.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and facility guidelines related to material handling and equipment operation.

Data Quality & Problem Solving

  • Analyze inventory issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Support process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system; SAP experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience.
