Job Description

The Inventory Control Manager leads and executes on the facility’s inventory needs, including supply chain purchasing, receiving, product packaging, and order fulfillment. This position drives the facility’s inventory program and ensures product orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain an efficient inventory tracking system for receiving, purchasing, and fulfillment of raw materials to operations.
• Build and manage a high-performing inventory team, including receiving, purchasing, and fulfillment of raw materials.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and audits of supplies and finished products, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation of variances
• Oversee internal inventory transfers, maintaining quality control, regulatory compliance, and accurate physical counts
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure stock levels are organized, current, and aligned with weekly production needs
• Oversee packaging inventory management, including ordering, auditing, forecasting, and waste reduction
• Execute responsible purchasing practices in alignment with budgetary goals and financial targets
• Present data, insights, and recommendations effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams
• Train and develop team members on essential job functions, time management, and performance standards
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in inventory data, meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain awareness and understanding of state medical marijuana regulations to ensure compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
• Must be able to communicate with the GDF Team effectively and professionally
• Capable of working without supervision
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specialized areas
• Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Strong ethics and reliability

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Two to four years of experience
• Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel) and comfortable learning and using new software

Physical Requirements

• The ability to lift fifty pounds regularly
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
• The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
• The ability to complete fine motor functions
• The ability to work in low light situations
• Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
• Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
