Job Description

Responsible for supervising inventory specialists through the entire process of shipping, receiving, cycle count, kitting, and warehouse inventory while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure efficiency. Foreman is expected to cover all areas of the inventory control and warehouse as required. Oversees and monitors the operational activities within the warehouse including inventory count, order pulling, product restock, shipping and receiving. Works closely with production Foreman to ensure all production materials are available to meet production schedule. Time balance is 80% working and 20% managing.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  1. Lead morning safe start meetings.
  2. Oversee and ensure all employees are properly trained in inventory process.
  3. Oversees daily inventory and warehouse functions, and ensure all company safety, quality and environmental policies and procedures are followed.
  4. Maintain 5S standards.
  5. Examine received material to verify conformance to quality standards.
  6. Assist in shipping of production products.
  7. Observe equipment operations and confirm all pre-shift inspections are completed.
  8. Professionally interacts with internal and external customers.
  9. Manager cycle count process and update ERP system as necessary.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years of experience in an inventory or warehouse environment
  • Prior leadership experience, preferred
  • Understands 5S process

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to use Microsoft applications – Excel and Word

• Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
