Main Purpose of Job:

The Inventory Control Coordinator supports multiple sites or functions with ensuring inventory accuracy at supported warehouses/co-manufacturers and acts as the primary DGIC contact to these locations. Always work to achieve supply chain efficiency and cost targets while maintaining the highest levels of quality, safety & sanitation. This requires working in collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams to resolve issues and identify process improvements. You will work in a dynamic environment where continuous improvement is celebrated. Strong, fact-based communication skills, team focus, and passion for results with minimal supervision are necessary to be successful in this role. This will be achieved through having the knowledge and understanding of expectations, consistent adherence to standards and attention to detail.

ROLE AND ACTIVITY

  • Acts as key IC contact for issues related to assigned locations, to include but not limited to: Problem solving: System, Processes, Training
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance with company owned and 3rd party sites and ensures Dreyers reporting requirements are maintained per agreements.
  • Oversee the proper code date rotation (Julian date) and aging inventory; including donations, secondary sales and destruction.
  • Ensure cycle counts are being performed monthly per standard and keep IRA/SRA updated.
  • Systems Interactions (SAP: Business Objects: WMS IMREX
  • Resolve Disputes: over, short and damage processing
  • Work to proactively minimize inventory variance.
  • Have a basic understanding of business rationale knowing the “WHY”, not just the HOW
  • Ensure all inventory moves meet acceptable QA and inventory movement standards
  • Report immediately any unsafe behavior, equipment, or condition. Report property or equipment damage immediately
  • Promote the Froneri culture of employees being owners rather than just employees
  • Willingness to perform other job function as needed per shift prescribed by supervisor
  • Other duties and expectations as assigned

MEASURABLE OUTCOMES

  • Reducing trends of OS & D claims to industry benchmark standards
  • Daily, weekly, monthly movement and selection targets are fully met
  • Effective collaboration with the team and other shifts
  • Reduction in accidents, first aids, equipment damage, property damage and incidents on a YOY basis

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy across warehouse, distribution center, or third-party logistics (3PL) environments.
  • Strong experience investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and damaged product claims.
  • Hands-on experience with cycle count programs, inventory reconciliation, and variance analysis.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP, or other inventory management platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory aging, FIFO/code date rotation practices, and disposition management (donations, secondary sales, destruction).
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Transportation, Customer Service, and external warehouse partners.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions that improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Experience analyzing inventory data, generating reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills with the ability to resolve operational and system-related inventory issues.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, food production, consumer packaged goods (CPG), logistics, or distribution environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and sanitation standards within warehouse or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, providing training, or serving as a key point of contact for operational processes is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence partners and drive accountability across internal and external teams.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $59,600 and $67,800 per year.
