Job Location: Mt Juliet - Mt. Juliet, TN 37122POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary responsibilities include daily completion of the cycle count process and insuring proper consolidation of inventories. Works with Inventory Control Analyst to determine root cause analysis and reviews previous transaction history (receipts, inventory transfers, etc) to determine proper correction method when discrepancies are found. In addition, helps ensure proper storage locations are maintained. Assists with the preparation for physical inventories as required. Also assists in Receiving and Kanban picking as needed. PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and reconcile daily cycle counts for the warehouse / manufacturing areas, research discrepancies, analyze information and prepare inventory adjustments as instructed.
- Perform daily rack audits in controlled warehouse locations including the manufacturing floor areas, analyze and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assists the Materials team with the preparation and carrying out physical inventory.
- Responsible for following, monitoring, and helping to enforce CTPAT compliance in warehouse / shipping / receiving areas of the department.
- Responsible for monitoring transaction accuracy and inventory control in warehouse.
- Report changes in usage and possible parts shortages to the material planner.
- Responsible for following and adhering to all applicable safety and housekeeping guidelines.
- Perform and monitor necessary preventative maintenance.
- Review warehouse layout and suggest changes for areas of opportunity that can increase the materials flow and gain efficiencies.
- Responsible for updating inventory accuracy metrics files.
- Responsible for supporting and informing Receiving / warehouse lead person to ensure that all department’s processes and procedures are being followed the warehouse areas.
- May work on special projects or assignments upon request.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year warehouse/forklift experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple and complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Documents may include: Material Safety Data Sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies and procedures, schematics, diagrams, etc.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Familiar with KANBAN System preferred.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Familiar with computerized inventory system preferred.
- Must be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
