Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for all aspects of inventory control such as, cycle counting, aging inventories, and obsolete packaging disposal. Prepare and complete accurate, timely documentation and transactions that follow established protocols for inventory control. Support all manufacturing activities as requested including disposition of customer materials and locating materials.

OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Inventory responsibility

Generate cycle counts in accordance with the schedule set forth by the Inventory Accountant.

Validate cycle counts less than $2500 in variance when completed.

  • Report any variances over $2500 to the Inventory Accountant for validation.
  • Audit inventory in all locations per the cycle count schedule.
  • Assist with all inventory questions and concerns.
  • Lead year-end physical inventory and other special inventories throughout the year.

Monitor and assist with follow up disposition for aging/expiration items. Responsible for all the coordination for customer requested disposition items and any other related inventory requests. Perform any other tasks requested by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required).

  • Education level: high school diploma and/or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Forklift experience desired. Ability to successfully obtain a forklift certification through ALPHIA.
  • Computer experience required.
  • Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level required.
  • Successfully demonstrated proficiency in working as a level I WH Tech. This must be documented in ALPHIA system.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
  • Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to multi-task.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, walk, and move from place to place. The employee is occasionally required to sit, use foot/feet to operate machine, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or reach above shoulders. The employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch. The employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders.

The employee must exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Occasional overtime or extended work hours required. The employee may be frequently exposed to allergens and/or airborne particles in the production area. Production employees are exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 115 degrees, depending on the season and workstation, and may be working near moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions may occur.

The noise level in the work environment may be loud while production equipment is running.

Personal Protection Equipment (including, but not limited to, boots, gloves, safety glasses, and/or face shields) is required during various processes in the production area. Ear plugs and bump caps are required at all times in the production area.
