The Inventory Control Coordinator controls inventory flow throughout the building and works with the Inventory Control Manager to set forth what current inventory levels are within the four walls of the distribution center. This role works with the DC Operations team to maintain the active locations within the DC so reporting can be done. This position will also ensure that all products are being stored correctly and according to actual locations found in the system and floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Document and enter all new items into the WMS system as well as keep the system up to date with any changes to existing items. Validate all entered data is accurate e.g. length/width/height and cube.
- Perform cycle counts on products and compare against the system.
- Verify proper rotation (FIFO) on all items in storage.
- Verify all items are stored in the proper temperature zone.
- Record all damaged and/or poor-quality products that are removed from the system.
- Create and/or run inventory control reports to be used as part of the metrics review on a weekly basis.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Dependable and organized.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
- Knowledge of WMS and /or ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comply with strict time frames and deadlines.
- Strong communication capabilities (verbal, written, and comprehension).
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years' experience in logistics or inventory control
- Bilingual: Spanish and English

- Running forklifts or pallet jacks on occasion
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 75 lbs.
