Job Description

The Core Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and costs. This role uses data analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to support efficient inventory planning and supply chain performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Analyze inventory levels, turnover, demand trends, and stock movement to identify risks and opportunities

Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance service levels, carrying costs, and obsolescence

Develop and monitor inventory forecasts based on historical data, seasonality, and business plans

Investigate inventory variances, discrepancies, and root causes; recommend corrective actions

Support cycle counts and physical inventories; reconcile differences in inventory systems

Generate regular inventory reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management and customer

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, customer, and operations teams to align supply and demand

Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and propose disposition strategies

Improve inventory processes, controls, and data accuracy through continuous improvement initiatives

Support ERP and inventory management systems, including data validation and system updates

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2–5 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, or demand planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of Statistical Methods.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
