Job Description

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of supplies, equipment, and materials for the college. This position ensures inventory accuracy, assists departments with supply requests, and supports daily warehouse and stockroom operations while maintaining compliance with college policies and procedures.

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and spreadsheets.
  • Organize and stock supplies, equipment, and materials in designated storage areas.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of shortages or reorder needs.
  • Prepare and distribute supplies and equipment to campus departments.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage and warehouse areas.
  • Assist with surplus property management and disposal procedures.
  • Process inventory documentation, reports, and purchase records.
  • Operate standard office equipment and basic warehouse equipment safely.
  • Follow all college safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, vendors, and campus visitors.
