Job Shift: NightsJob Purpose:
- The Inventory Clerk at MORGAN STEEL LLC is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock management, and supporting the overall operations of the warehouse. This full-time position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the inventory system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and track all inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages to management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area to facilitate efficient stock retrieval and management.
- Utilize inventory management software to update and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare and distribute inventory reports to management as required.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
- Support other warehouse and administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required

Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory software systems and data entry.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining inventory records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and vendors.
- Problem-solving skills to address inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving inventory items as needed.
