Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of our physical and system inventory across multiple departments. You will be the primary lead for inventory reconciliations, cycle counting programs, and process improvements within our NetSuite ERP environment.
The ideal candidate possesses a "detective" mindset—someone who doesn't just fix a number but identifies the root cause of the discrepancy to prevent it from happening again.
Key Responsibilities
- ERP Management: Execute and oversee all inventory-related transactions within NetSuite, ensuring real-time accuracy of stock levels, bin assignments, and status changes.
- Cycle Counting: Manage the end-to-end cycle counting program, including scheduling, performing counts, and investigating significant variances.
- Reconciliation & Adjustments: Perform daily inventory reconciliations between physical warehouse counts and ERP records. Process necessary adjustments with detailed documentation and management approval.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across Warehouse, Purchasing, Finance, and Production teams to audit business processes (e.g., receiving, picking, and returns) that impact inventory accuracy.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, Power Query) to analyze large datasets, identify trends in shrinkage or overstock, and provide actionable reports to leadership.
- Process Optimization: Identify "bottlenecks" in the current inventory flow and propose enhancements to RF-SMART or NetSuite workflows to improve efficiency.
Audit & Compliance
- Year-End Physical Inventory: Lead the planning, execution, and reconciliation of the annual wall-to-wall physical inventory; coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure 100% facility coverage and reporting accuracy.
- Audit Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external financial auditors regarding inventory valuations, count methodologies, and variance explanations.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all inventory processes adhere to internal controls and SOPs, providing documentation and evidence for quarterly and annual audit requirements.
Root Cause Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all inventory adjustments and audit findings, ensuring every significant discrepancy is investigated, explained, and corrected at the source.
This position will be M-F 9:00 6:00 PM.
