We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Intranet Content Migration Specialist to support a short-term contract focused on migrating content from an existing intranet platform to a new system. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with technology and combines strong content management skills with a keen eye for design, user experience, and content accuracy.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that content is effectively transferred, refreshed, and optimized to align with the new platform’s structure and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Migrate content from the legacy intranet to the new platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Create and configure new pages within the back end of the destination platform
Design and build intuitive page layouts that align with established templates and UX guidelines
Format and structure content for clarity, readability, and usability
Select, upload, and appropriately place images and other visual assets
Apply branding, formatting, and content standards across all pages
Add and configure page elements such as links, buttons, components, and embedded content
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure pages render correctly and function as expected
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify content, resolve gaps, and ensure alignment with business needs
Work independently with an understanding of when clarification and check-ins are needed.
Track progress and maintain documentation related to migration activities
Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in content management, digital publishing, or intranet administration
Hands-on experience working within CMS or intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Staffbase)
Strong understanding of web content structure, page layout, and user experience principles
Experience creating and formatting web pages in a back-end environment
Ability to work independently to manage large volumes of content with strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of image selection, formatting, and optimization for web use
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Fluency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
Experience with platform migrations or large-scale content projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with content governance and information architecture best practices
Experience working with design systems or brand guidelines

Duration: 6 to 8 weeks
What Success Looks Like
Content is accurately migrated and fully functional in the new intranet
Pages are visually engaging, well-organized, and aligned with UX standards
Stakeholders are satisfied with the clarity and usability of migrated content
Migration is completed on schedule with minimal rework required
The hourly pay rate for this position is:
$25.00 to $25.00
