About the Role
To deliver specialist diagnostic, procedural and interventional services to the department’s patients across all sites (MID, SVPR, MRI).
To teach instruct, supervise and support radiology registrars, fellows and interns across all sites both informally during supervised work sessions and formally through tutorials.
To participate in the interventional on-call and weekend roster as rostered and diagnostic out-of-hours on-call roster as required.
Duties include:
Deliver specialist interventional radiological services for DSA, MID, SVPR and MRI patients, as rostered.
Attend Clinics
Adequate and timely completion of daily clinical reporting and procedural workload as rostered
Your Contribution
Medical Degree from a medical school recognised in Victoria
FRANZCR fellowship & Post FRANZCR fellowship in interventional radiology
Registration with Medical Board of Australia
Good standing with own Medical Defence Organisation
EBIR or evidence of preparing to obtain it
CCINR when performing INR
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

St Vincent's Hospital - Medical Imaging Department
St. Vincent’s Medical Imaging Department (MID) is a tertiary imaging department providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic and interventional imaging services to SVHM’s inpatients and outpatients.
St Vincent’s Medical Imaging (MI) provides four comprehensive diagnostic imaging programs across three campus sites:
Medical Imaging Department (MID)
St Vincent’s Private Radiology (SVPR)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Centre (MRI)
Positron Emission Tomography Centre (PET)
The department provides 150,000+ image guided therapies yearly across campus to support and facilitate the quaternary services provided by SVHM. Interventional services include general and vascular procedures and interventional neuroradiology. Similarly, diagnostic imaging and procedural interventions are provided to the state based Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcoma service, Cardiac Catheter Labs, Vascular Labs and Operating Suites. St. Vincent’s Private Radiology (SVPR) is a co-located comprehensive private radiology service providing imaging services to St. Vincent Private Hospital, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and private outpatients.
