Facilitates basic communication between clinical staff and clients or patients, which includes parents or guardians. Communication may take place in a medical or community setting, providing interpretation, sight translation and/or simple translation on an AVS. (After Visit Summary).
The required work schedule will be EVENINGS as follows:
Mondays: 5:00pm-9:00pm
Tuesdays: 5:00pm-9:00pm
Wednesdays: 5:00pm-9:00pm
- off Thursdays-
Fridays: 5:00pm-9:00pm
and
Every other Weekend - Saturday and Sunday 5:00pm-9:00pm
This is a part-time, FTE .5 (20 hours per week) ( benefits eligible) position. Location: Forest Home Clinic located at 1432 W. Forest Home Ave, Milwaukee, WI.
*Note: bilingual abilities alone are not sufficient for this Interpreter role, either completion (or current enrollment) in a Medical Interpreter course and/or healthcare interpreter work experience is likely necessary. For future consideration consider enrollment into the MATC or other Medical Interpreter course.
