The engineer plays a key role in supporting commercial launches and maintaining high-quality deliverables for strategic partners like T-Mobile (TMO).

Validate and debug interoperability between Qualcomm chipsets and Nokia base stations through detailed log analysis and fault investigation.

  • Execute comprehensive test plans and analyze diverse logs (Wireshark, syslogs, BIP traces) to identify root causes for modem/network issues.
  • Collaborate with Mobile Network Operators, product management, and chipset vendors to refine interoperability execution plans based on IODT requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering new or upgraded LTE and 5G products through structured interoperability testing and coordination.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality deliverables, proactive risk management, and effective resource allocation.
  • Conduct technical discussions and troubleshooting with R&D, chipset partners, and customers to resolve critical interoperability challenges.
  • Support team development through training in features, log analysis, site solutions, and competency building exercises.
  • Participate in lab maintenance, evaluating and upgrading test tools, equipment, and systems for optimal performance prior to product releases.
  • Travel: 5-10%

Please note that no relocation is offered for this role.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in LTE/5G radio interface testing and verification
  • Thorough understanding of 3GPP specifications and RRM-specific feature specifications
  • Deep knowledge of Nokia product development processes
  • Proficiency in testing tools such as C-plane/UP analyzer, network logs, and Wireshark

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience with third-party UE logging tools, including QXDM (Qualcomm) and XCAL
  • Project management experience from inception to completion
  • Strong analytical skills for fault investigation and root cause analysis
  • Training experience in interoperability and technical discussions
