Our “E‑Drive, Power Electronics & Transmission Development” division within Group Components—located in Kassel, Wolfsburg, and Gaimersheim—is responsible for developing all future pulse inverters (PWR) for electric drives across the Volkswagen Group. We shape the future of mobility by consistently turning innovation into economical products and continuously advancing existing technologies. Become part of our team!

Possible tasks within this role


  • Supporting in addressing a variety of development questions related to modern AI approaches

  • Building, enhancing, and evaluating general models and functional modules

  • Contributing to the integration and customization of AI‑supported assistance features

  • Collaborating within cross‑product teams across the VW Group

Qualification requirements


  • Enrolled Bachelor students with > 89 credit points or Master students in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study

  • Initial experience with GenAI, LLMs, and programming (e.g., Python)

  • Good to very good academic performance

  • German and English language level B2
