Location: Bevaix (NE), Switzerland – 6 months

Your future job

As an intern at Melexis, you will analyze, model, and optimize the surge current capability of integrated current sensors.

More specifically, you will:

Test, model, and evaluate how much transient current can flow through sensors before structural failure.

Provide a systematic design method and predictive modeling tools to optimize surge performance in future sensor products.

Expected results

A validated thermal and electrical simulation model predicting sensor destruction limits under surge currents.

A detailed experimental database characterizing physical failure mechanisms and limits of prototypes.

A validated design methodology and guidelines for developing robust new current sensor

Your profile

  • Master’s student in Electrical Engineering or Physics with electrical and thermal simulation experience.
  • Proactive and team-oriented with strong laboratory testing and hardware skills.
