Mercer
We are looking for a motivated and curious Intern to join our Rewards Consulting team.
Start: as soon as possible

The intern will work closely with team members on different topics such as compensation benchmarking, job architecture, pay equity, incentive design, market analysis, data preparation, presentations and client deliverables. The role is also a great opportunity to learn more broadly about the different areas of HR consulting and how our teams work together.
In addition, an interest in AI and digital tools would be a strong plus. We are looking for someone who can also help the team think through and set up practical processes around the use of AI to improve efficiency, knowledge sharing and ways of working.

Conduct research and market analysis on compensation, rewards trends and workforce topics
Assist with data gathering, cleaning, validation and analysis for client projects
Help prepare compensation benchmarking and rewards-related analyses
Support the team on job architecture, salary structures, pay review, incentives and broader rewards topics
Contribute to internal team initiatives, including knowledge management and process improvement
Coordinate and organize project materials, meeting notes and follow-up actions
Help develop practical use cases and team processes related to AI tools, automation and more efficient ways of working
Collaborate with colleagues across different consulting areas and gain exposure to broader talent and workforce topics
What we are looking for
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Human Resources, Psychology, Data Analytics, Social Sciences or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in rewards, compensation, HR consulting and workforce topics
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data in a structured way
Good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, curious, organized and eager to learn
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Interest in AI, digital tools or process improvement is a strong advantage
Fluency in English; French and/or German would be a plus
What the intern will gain
Exposure to a wide range of consulting assignments in the Rewards space
The opportunity to work alongside experienced consultants and learn from different team members
Insight into client work, project delivery and consulting methodologies
Experience working with data, market insights and client materials
The chance to contribute to innovation and AI-enabled ways of working within the team
A strong foundation for a future career in consulting, HR, rewards or people strategy
