
We are looking for a student who is currently studying in or near Graz and is keen to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by supporting our automotive NFC Customer Application engineering team. This part-time position focuses primarily on Python-based software tooling, with additional exposure to embedded development in C. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world automotive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain internal software tools in Python
Support embedded software development in C
Collaborate with engineers on design, implementation, and testing
Participate in code reviews and team discussions
Work with development tools such as Git and Jira
Perform occasional hardware-related tasks (e.g., soldering, setups)
Profile Requirements:
Ongoing enrollment in a relevant technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or similar)
Knowledge of Python (primary focus) and C
Interest in embedded systems and related tooling
Familiarity with Git and Jira is an advantage
Good command of English
Availability of at least 18 hours per week on average

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
