What to Expect During Your Internship
As a Purchasing & Assortment Operations Intern, you will provide essential support to the Viking Office Purchasing & Assortment team in the facility products category, ensuring accurate and up-to-date assortment and vendor information. You will play a key role in managing daily operations, handle vendor queries, coordinate information flows, and assist in product lifecycle tasks — all while gaining insights into Category Management, where strategic assortment decisions meet real-world business needs. This is your chance to dive in and learn by doing!
Your Responsibilities
Support the team with daily assortment and vendor-related queries in the facilities category, ensuring smooth and timely communication
Coordinate the collection of product and vendor information, including contracts, tenders, and ad hoc requests
Assist in onboarding, updating, and phasing out products across systems and teams within the facilities assortment
Execute product and vendor updates, pricing, and promotions according to defined processes and deadlines
Prepare reports to support decision-making within the Purchasing & Assortment team, with a focus on facility-related products
Your Profile
You are a 3rd year Bachelor student studying International Business, Purchasing, Marketing or a related field
You have a keen interest in Category Management and are eager to learn more about it
You are confident in using Microsoft Excel
You have strong organizational and time management skills
You have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive mindset
You have excellent spoken and written skills in English
You are available full-time from September 2026 for 5-6 months
