What to Expect During Your Internship

As a Purchasing & Assortment Operations Intern, you will support the Viking Office Purchasing & Assortment team in keeping assortment and vendor information accurate, organized, and up to date. You will take an active role in managing daily operational tasks, coordinating information flows, handling vendor inquiries, and assisting with product lifecycle activities Throughout the internship, you’ll gain valuable insight into Category Management and see how strategic assortment decisions translate into real business impact It’s a hands‑on opportunity to learn, contribute, and build a strong foundation in a key commercial function.


Your Responsibilities

  • Support the team with daily assortment and vendor‑related queries in the ink, toner, labelling, and electronics categories, ensuring smooth and timely communication

  • Assist other category teams within the Purchasing & Assortment department when needed

  • Coordinate the collection of product and vendor information, including contracts, tenders, and ad‑hoc requests

  • Contribute to onboarding, updating, and phasing out products across systems and teams within the electronics and supplies assortment

  • Execute product and vendor updates, pricing adjustments, and promotions in line with established processes and deadlines

  • Prepare reports that support decision‑making within the Purchasing & Assortment team, with a focus on ink, toner, labelling, and electronics


Your Profile

  • You are a 3rd‑year Bachelor student in International Business, Purchasing, Marketing, or a related field

  • You have a strong interest in Category Management and are motivated to deepen your understanding

  • You are confident working with Microsoft Excel

  • You bring strong organizational and time‑management skills

  • You have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive, hands‑on mindset

  • You have excellent spoken and written English skills

  • You are available full‑time from September2026 for a period of 5–6 months
