Job Description


The Process Data Analytics position will support operations and asset teams in analysing process and operational data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and optimisation initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to real operational datasets and supports data-driven decision-making in areas such as process performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsible:
1. Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing process and operational data from various sources (e.g. historians, reports, spreadsheets).
2. Support development of dashboards, visualisations, and basic analytics to track process performance and KPIs.
3. Perform trend analysis and identify anomalies or performance gaps in process data.
4. Support improvement initiatives related to process optimisation, maintenance efficiency, and operational reliability.
5. Assist in documentation of data analysis methodologies, assumptions, and findings.
6. Work closely with engineers and operations teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.

Learning Exposure:
1. Exposure to upstream operations and process engineering environment.
2. Hands-on experience with operational data and analytics tools.
3. Understanding of how data supports Remote Operations, UVO, and process optimisation initiatives.
4. Opportunity to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, digital).

Required Background:
1. Undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
2. Strong interest in data analytics, process optimisation, or digitalisation.
3. Basic understanding of process engineering concepts is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL).
2. Familiarity with data visualisation concepts.
3. Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
4. Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Soft Skills:
1. Curious and proactive in problem-solving.
2. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
3. Good time management and organisational skills.
