Department Description:

What to do:

• Get hands-on experience with the Databricks platform, PySpark, and cloud infrastructure

• Support the team in managing and operating data ingestion pipelines

• Assist with infrastructure-as-code deployments using Terraform

• Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows

• Participate in testing and evaluating new Databricks features

• Support documentation of platform processes and configurations

• Learn how a centralized data platform operates in an enterprise environment

Requirements

You check these boxes:

• Enrolled in the final phase of a Bachelor's or ongoing Master's program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

• Intermediate knowledge of Python; basic knowledge of SQL is a plus

• Interest in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Interest in DevOps practices: Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), CI/CD, version control (Git)

• Analytical thinking and eagerness to learn

• Structured, self-organized working style

• Clear verbal and written communication

• Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback

• Not mandatory but beneficial: first experience with Databricks or Spark, familiarity with Linux/CLI, exposure to Docker or containerization, basic networking knowledge

• Language skills: English professional proficiency; German is a plus

• We offer you a varied part-time internship position (20-30h/week) for 12 months. An internship salary of 3175,00€ for Bachelor Students or 3300,00€ for Master Students (gross per month on a full-time basis) is offered.
