Operations Management Internship | Echt | €700 | Start: September

Are you looking for an internship where you can combine data analysis with real operational improvements in a logistics environment? Do you enjoy diving into warehouse processes and translating data into smart optimization strategies? Then this internship within Arvato’s Operations team might be exactly what you’re looking for.

YOUR INTERNSHIP ASSIGNMENT

Within one of Arvato’s multi-client warehouses, you will focus on inventory and storage optimization for a key customer. During this internship, you will perform an in-depth analysis of warehouse processes and contribute directly to improving operational efficiency.
The goal of this assignment is to develop recommendations that optimize material handling processes, minimize unnecessary movements, and improve the overall operational performance of the warehouse.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Analyzing inventory data and warehouse storage processes
• Supporting the optimization of material handling and warehouse movements
• Further developing ABC analyses and inventory segmentation strategies
• Analyzing and improving min-max stock levels
• Supporting replenishment and put-away optimization strategies
• Evaluating and improving picking priorities and warehouse flow efficiency
• Creating dashboards and reports in SAP and Power BI
• Translating data insights into practical improvement proposals for operations

This internship is also possible in combination with writing your (master) thesis

YOUR PROFILE

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical mindset and affinity with data analysis
• Interested in warehouse operations and process optimization
• Familiar with Excel and eager to work with SAP and Power BI
• Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills and able to work collaboratively with different departments
• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Able to work independently while taking ownership of your projects
