Job Description

As a member of the Long Products Luxembourg (LPL) IT Project Management Office (PMO) team, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects across all our production sites in Luxembourg. You will collaborate closely with the IT Project Management Specialist who reports to the Head of LPL IT PMO.

IT PMO works with IT and business project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Project Initiation :

  • Receive IT projects from various plants in Luxembourg based on business and industrial needs.
  • Define the complete project scope, objectives, key teams, necessary resources, and budget.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to create Project Initiation Documents (PIDs).
  • Validate PIDs with both business and IT stakeholders.

Project Planning and Coordination :

  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate project activities and dependencies across multiple teams and departments.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to project management methodologies.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Generate regular status reports and dashboards to communicate project performance to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

IT Projects Management Tool:

  • Customize and manage the Jira tool to support the entire project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to share and track projects within the Jira system.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams (IT, business, subcontractors).
  • Address team concerns and provide timely updates on project status and milestones.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline project management processes and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of best practices and standards within the PMO.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in project management, information technology, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Previous experience in project coordination or management, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies & knowledge of various project management techniques.
  • Strong IT skills; experience with the Jira tool is an advantage.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, adaptability, team spirit, and a passion for learning.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities: identify issues and propose solutions.
