YOUR ROLE

Within the CMA CGM Group Procurement Department, the intern will support the Intermodal Services Buyer Specialist in managing the procurement of intermodal transport services (road, rail and barge) across North and West Africa.

This internship will provide exposure to sourcing activities, tender processes, market analysis, price benchmarking and supplier performance management in an international and multicultural environment.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

Tender Processes & Sourcing

• You will support annual intermodal tenders and RFQ processes
• You will identify transport providers and consolidate requirements from local teams
• You will analyze supplier offers based on cost, capacity, quality and compliance

Market Analysis & Benchmarking

• You will conduct market research across North and West Africa
• You will monitor market trends, update pricing databases and perform benchmarking
• You will identify cost optimization opportunities and ways to secure transport capacity

Supplier Performance Management

• You will track supplier KPIs, including quality, punctuality, capacity and safety
• You will contribute to performance reviews, corrective action plans and supplier database updates

Reporting & Data Analysis

• You will develop Procurement dashboards and consolidate spending, volumes and savings data
• You will perform ad hoc analyses and prepare reports to support decision-making

Procurement Project Support

• You will contribute to cost optimization, sustainability and supplier compliance initiatives
• You will ensure alignment with Group Procurement procedures and collaborate with Headquarters, Regional and Agency teams

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

• You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (Bac+4/5) in a Business School, University or Engineering School
• You are specializing in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transport or International Business
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You have advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookup functions and data analysis). Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
• You have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a rigorous approach to your work
• You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in an international environment
• You have a strong interest in procurement, transport and logistics
• You are fluent in both French and English. Proficiency in an additional language would be an asset
