About the Role
You will gain hands-on experience in the daily insurance operations including underwriting support, claims processing, contact center support, and policy owner services. You also will be responsible for delivering standard reports on periodic basis as required by the business for operations, regulatory, statutory purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwriting Support:
Assist in reviewing and verifying customer documentation for policy issuance.
Help maintain accurate records and update underwriting systems.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies.
Claims Processing:
Support claims intake and documentation validation.
Assist in tracking claim statuses and updating internal systems.
Collaborate with claims analysts to ensure timely processing.
Policy Owner Services:
Assist in processing policy changes, updates, and cancellations.
Help manage customer correspondence and service requests.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance & Administration
Assist in performing accurate and timely data entry for Individual Life (IL) claims, ensuring completeness and consistency in all system updates.
Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality standards while handling sensitive customer and claims information.
Pre Authorisation
Coordinate and manage job or case assignments based on priorities, workload, and team capacity to ensure balanced distribution, while maintaining accurate and timely records.
Provide operational support including reporting, handling eligibility checks and provider enquiries, coordinating PA decisions, and supporting continuous learning through cross‑training and skill development.
Note: There are several internship positions available across various departments. Your role will be assigned based on your interests and suitability.
Job Requirement:
Preferably an undergraduate in the penultimate or of a Business, Management, Administration, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Medical Science, Bioscience, Biomedical, Biology, or health science‑related program
Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
Candidate with proficiency to converse in Mandarin / Cantonese would be an added advantage.
Excel academically with minimum CGPA 3.00 or second class upper or equivalent
Minimum duration would be 12 weeks or above
Compulsory internship placements by university
Willing to work in Cyberjaya
