We offer a challenging and practice‑oriented internship for students in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related fields.
The primary objective is to analyze an existing production planning tool and develop a modern, state‑of‑the‑art software architecture based on current industry standards. As part of this exploration, you are also encouraged to evaluate alternative market solutions, investigate non‑traditional or innovative approaches, and consider whether hybrid or unconventional architectures could provide meaningful advantages for the future system design.
You will work closely with the existing development team while having the opportunity to independently create architectural concepts, technical analyses, and professional documentation. Depending on your individual specialization, additional tasks in programming, data analysis, database development, or AI/robotics may be included.
At GE HealthCare, our machines, our software, our solutions, our services, and our people make a genuine difference to medical professionals and patients all over the world. That’s because we never lose sight of what healthcare really needs—the human touch.
We are looking for a motivated and proactive intern (m/f/d) to support our team in the areas of software architecture and production IT. This six‑month internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on experience in an international environment and to contribute to innovative projects in the healthcare sector.
You will work on the analysis and redesign of an existing production planning tool and help develop state‑of‑the‑art architecture concepts for future digital manufacturing systems. As part of this work, you will also evaluate alternative solutions available on the market and consider non‑traditional or innovative approaches that may offer advantages over classical software designs.
