Working in interdisciplinary teams, we develop new processes and technologies and optimize processes and production plants across various business lines. Depending on your academic background, interests, and prior experience, you will work on a dedicated project within one of our process engineering disciplines.

Meet the Team

The internship is intended for a period of 4 to 6 months, with 6 months preferred An extension and the opportunity to complete a subsequent thesis project may be possible upon mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

Depending on the project, you will contribute to one or more of the following areas:

  • Process Modeling, Thermodynamics and Reaction Engineering, including catalysis and process simulation

  • Process and Separation Technologies, with a focus on fluid process engineering, mechanical separation, and membrane processes

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for the design, analysis, and optimization of process engineering systems

  • Particle and Polymer Technology, including particle design, formulation development, and product optimization

  • Process Analytics, Automation and Advanced Process Control for monitoring and optimizing industrial processes

  • Electrochemical Processes and Energy Technologies, with a focus on electro-organic synthesis and battery research

  • Sustainable Process Development and Operational Excellence, including circular processes, sustainability assessment, and process improvement using Lean Six Sigma methodologies

You are not expected to cover all areas equally. What matters most is a solid scientific or process engineering foundation, combined with expertise or development potential in at least one of the disciplines listed above.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Current enrollment at a university throughout the entire internship period and at least 120 ECTS credits completed in a Bachelor's program in science, engineering, or a related field

  • Experience: Sound knowledge of, or a strong interest in, at least one of the technical disciplines listed above

  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Language Skills: Strong German and English communication skills, both written and spoken

  • Soft Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with a high level of initiative, responsibility, and motivation
